McKeesport Little Theater is excited to announce auditions for our production of NEWSIES!
Auditions will be held on July 8th from 6-9:00pm and July 9th from 12:00-3:30pm. If needed,
callbacks will be held Sunday, July 10th from 3:00-6:00pm. The show runs two weekends:
September 16-18 and 23-25. Direction by Shawn Conway and Choreography by Samantha
Mitchell.

Those who audition are asked to bring a theater resume with full contact info, headshot, and a
32-bar cut of a musical theater song with copy of accompaniment. Everyone who comes in will
be asked to sing their musical selection and then will be asked to do a short cold read chosen by
the director. Selections from the show are allowed and encouraged for those going for a specific
part. Anyone auditioning to be considered for any of the lead roles, Newsies roles, or one of the
Bowery Beauties will be asked to do a short dance routine that will be taught to you the day you
audition.

Casting decisions will be made by phone and e-mail, and anyone not cast WILL be notified via
e-mail.
